First off, no I don't have these, nor have I seen them live before, but from my experience, here's what I have to say.

They seem to be vaguely reminiscent of MAX's in some weird way.

A 150W lamp seems too weak for my tastes. Since the unit requires another 150W to move, it seems like not enough light for all the motion put into it, but I don't know what everyone prefers.

Being able to rotate 360 degrees means that the head is connected to the base via contact plates. After a while, particularly in smoky, foggy, whatever environments, those contacts will build up dirt and cause connection irregularities that aren't pleasant. Even smoke-free and 'sterile' use will only slightly increase your time between connection issues. The concept is awesome for continuous motion, but the technology needs to be reinvented. Again, just my opinion.

The speed is ridiculous. I like that idea for the super energetic stuff. I have no idea how durable a fixture like that is to be able to take such punishment. Imagine swinging a regular mirror scanner around like that and expect the stepper motors to still love you afterwards. Wow.

I'd definitely say it's not worth $1,400 for what you get. Heck no. I wouldn't risk it. I bet they are a nightmare to service.

Just my thoughts though. Feel free to disagree.

Best,
-Tech
