Is it possible to use the 3.0 boxes with the 5.0 software if I buy a license for it? or 5.0 Box? If not, I'll probably just make the switch over to Daslight. What do you all think?

Is that something you would do or is the equipment enough outdated that the new 5 boxes are that much better at processing data. I would love the ethernet port!!
Hi, the 3.0 boxes should be just fine to run the DMX processing from 5.0 software. But you only have 1x DMX universe, the new hardware gives you 2 out of 4 available physically on the unit, and yes the ethernet is a nice way to connect to the hardware over a local LAN connection instead of a USB cable, the ethernet port does not give you artnet/sACN DMX universe control, that is done by a artnet license and over the computers ethernet port. Make sense?
