I've had my Velocity's since 2003 and for the past few years my right player has been making a clicking noise whenever I would nsert a CD. The 1st track would load slowly or on some discs, will not load at all. The left player will load all the same discs instantly.

I decided to open them up thinking that it might have been dirt. Both sides were clean, but when I loaded a disc in the right player, I noticed that the CD would spin momentarily then stop then start to click. The clicking would continue for 10 to 15 seconds then the CD would start up like normal. A few CDs just would click and nothing will happen. I then proceeded to take the same discs and play them in the left (working) player. When the CDs were inserted, there would be 1 or 2 clicks but the CD would continue to spin and the first song is loaded in a couple seconds.

I've read several posts about this problem and am hoping that this isn't a progressive problem since I've been noticing its taking longer and longer to load discs in my right player. Is there a way to fix this?

During some tests on the right player I also found that during the time the CD is clicking. You can get it to work either by tilting the whole player 90 degrees on its back or by poking the non-moving disc through the left whole in the casing. The CD would start up and run like normal. I can post pictures of this if it will help anyone out. Seems like a mechanical problem since touching the disc makes it work.

Please can someone help me with this?
