Hello everybody,
i´m using MyDmx 3.0 for over 2 Years and mostly to generate Midi triggered scenes with thousands of steps to fit the music my band plays live. So you can imagine the time and effort to create such detailed and precise steps into this piece of software.
So we recorded a new song, i started to create a new scene for the song to programm to. So far so good. As i finished my work after 4 to 5 hours of programming i decided to take a rest and saved the file as usually. When i tried to open the file the other day to continue my work the file got stuck while loading. It loaded like 85% and then just stopped working. No error, no nothing - it just kept there "loading" the scenes. When i clicked the window the software just crashes without any notice.
Well now here i am with a corrupt showfile and 100 hours of work and passion. Ive read several quite similar topics and its alway in the comments someone from the devs or the team saying "everything is sorted, all good now" - But hell - what do i have to do to get my file working again?
So luckily i do make backups, but the latest version with 4+ hours work just got corrupt. I then did some testing myself to see where and when does myDmx 3.0 creates corrupt files out of nowhere. My conclusion is, that myDmx has its limits when creating steps and scenes. There is a certain amount of data this software can handle before it kills all your process (if youre unlucky with no backup data). So in my case this software is no longer usefull for me and my band and i might have to change to something different. We have like 9 Songs and every scene is one Song. So there are 9 scenes made out of 3000 to 4500 steps (i do really like the effect engine , its quite easy to get nice results out of it) and after i started to create another scene with kina 500 steps the file i will save now will be corrupt. I do remove the MP3 for playback just to be sure it has nothing to do with that. The Backup File that works has about 65MB, the Corrupted file has 78,2MB. I even tried opening it on a Mac - same results as above.
I do hope there is a way to get this file back to work - but i do fear this software is not capable of meeting my needs. Maybe there is a way i did not see myself after searching the forums for hours.

If there is anything i forgot or you need to check on the file feel free to contact me. I just bought the Years licence again a few weeks ago and the USB Interface runs on the latest Update. As i said, the Backup File works like a charm with all midi hotkeys and stuff.
Please help me trust mydmx again.
