Hi, recently acquied a MyDMX 3 to test and am installing the software. I downloaded the package, unzipped it, and started the install. It is running incredibly sloq installing the SSL files. I started Tuesday night, with the machine on and running most of the time I am currently sitting at 3%, This can't be normal? Any thoughts on what might be causing the issue? This is on w10.

Hi, no the SSL library is downloaded from the internet via a server to ensure all the latest profiles are included and installed that way, it can take several minutes to install, but nothing like that, i would check to make sure you are connected to a good internet connection and then re-install the software.

Hi, there's no way it should take even more than 5 minutes. Are you using it on a Mac or Windows, and which version (IE, win 7,8,10, Mac OS 10.10, or 10.9? etc)? Please give me more details about the computer and the exact release date you downloaded from our website, i will try to test this.
I'm on a Surface Pro 3, I5, 8GB ram, 256GB SSD. Windows 10 Pro, V1803, build 17134.407. Any special consideration on where I unzip the install download?
i just download and unzip to Desktop.
Just killed the install, deleted the diretory and all files, downloaded the zip again, unzipped to desktop and started again. Watching performance , CPU is about 10%, memory is 51%, network is mostly unused excet with a spike every 15-20 seconds which somewhat matches the cadence that the SSL files are added in the details window of the installer. Wondering if my AV is causing issues...
Try not to run any other major apps while installing too, also where are you located?

ok, let me try one more thing before you get too far, try THIS installer file and see if it helps.

So stop that one, delete the exe you downloaded from the website, try mine and let me know if its any faster, if not, i will need to move you to email support with me and i can talk to the developers.

Looks like it was my AV, I turned of realtime scanning, deleted everything, rebooted, and tried again, took less than 5 minutes. Thank you again for your assistance, sorry for the firedrill.

What do you mean you switched from AV? I am having an identical problem.
He turned off his Anti-Virus software and it installed fine, often installers temporarily generate files that Av programs like to flag and that will slow down the installer or corrupt it all together.
This really shouldn't be a issue these days, as this post was from 2018.
What release date are you installing?
Latest one for PC, January 2019 I believe.

My mistake, I'm installing the Jan 2020. It's been downloading off and on since last week and got to about 44%, I kept it running overnight last night and now we're at 66%. I turned off the AV as well just in case.
Is the download running slow, or the install? On mine I could see it slowly click through each and every file(thousands) while the scanning was on. Once I turned it off it was incredibly fast.
Sorry, it’s the install, the zip download was very fast. I can see when it gets to each new file and it is just taking forever.

It's your AV.
I turned it off though, and it still seems to be going at the same rate.
Stop the install, reboot your machine, turn off AV, start install new. If that doesn't work then I'm out of ideas, it is something on your machine, maybe kill the AV task and try again.
