I've never heard of this problem. Can you post a screen shot?

Hi, I'm over in the UK. I'm not sure how to do a screen shot, will have to learn. OK, when I open Scan library editor, I click the moving head icon and a profiles window opens. I then click "fixtures", then "head", fill in the info eg: manufacture etc then click ok. Thhen drag the effect type over into the "MODE 1" section and it will only let me drag 4 efx over. I'm obviously doing it wrong could you please help?

I have watched the video but you only drag over one "effect" type. When I drag 4 effects over (4 channels) it wont let me. I see your older version of MyDMX did have an input for the number of channels your fixture had ( I saw the video on youtube). Still confused, sorry to be so dumb.

The profiles I'm looking for are http://www.kam.co.uk/media/fil...dtrix_web_manual.pdf and http://www.pulsarlight.com/Dow...abid/90/Default.aspx DEMON STROBE instructions pdf. Even if you could do the profiles on these for me I would still like to be able to create my own for future lighting acquisitions.

Sure I can make those. Sounds like a library bug for your issue. what release date are you using? If you click on the "?" and click about it will tell you the date.

Ah! here in may lie the problem. My version is on DEMO mode as I have not plugged in the interface as I'm on a different PC. Could that be the problem? June 1 2011 is the date on it. Thanks in advance for doing the profiles, I shall watch out for them.

for the strobe the manual didn't tell me anything for which channel was what so i kinda guessed based off the info in the manual. so for the strobe channel 1 is dimmer and channel 2 is strobe rate. If it is backwards I'm sure you can switch it around easily and then re save it.

No, that wouldn't case anything to go wrong. If you want I can send you a link to download a updates scan library version date. might fix your issue. you SHOULD be able to drag and drop as many effects as you want into the channels area.

In that case, do you think I should delete the version I have and download it again. I have no work on it to lose so that is not an issue.

Hi, I did re-install and its works fine now........no idea what caused that.
Many thanks for your help and I look forward to getting those profiles.
I will no doubt be back in touch as I stumble my way through the software

Just in case you didn't see it but here are the links again.

Thanks, much appreciated. I'm sure the manual on the strobe stated "The digital start address is set with these
switches, the valid range being from 001 to 510.
The addressing is in blocks of 3, for example:
001 (510) - Trigger
002 (511) - Speed
003 (512) - Brightness"
