hey guyz, i have a problem with one of my ps1.

The problem is that the Scratch/Fade button is really hard to activate. You got to push it to hard to make it work.

I know you will say: "Call support", but i live in Mxico, so there's no way to be in contact with them.

If anybody knows how to fix this problem, please stay in contact with me, someone who has fixed problems like this.

How to open my PS1, what to unscrew, and that stuff.. Please guys i need help because i'm getting them on sale. Thanx

Not advised. I disassembled one.....ONCE, and it never played right again. There is allot of electronics in there, and it is very easy to mess up the CD transport once the unit is opened. Maybe when Joey see's this he can get you in contact with support in Mexico. If not PM me I know where you can get brand new ones dirt cheap. Wink
Have you or anybody ever spilled soda on the unit? i am trying to figure out why you have to push so hard..

does it feel sticky?

how are they other buttons working?

Please don't open your PS1. I reccomend you go to your nearest DJ store in Mexico.

Where in Mexico are you?

We could probably tell you where to go to help you fix that problem.
Dj Eclipse.I personally recommend not opening the unit due to all of the ribbon cables that have to be pulled off.If your not careful you could damage a section of the board. Here is a # to Hermes in Mexico that you can contact for a Service Center near you. 011525-55-5472111 They are experienced repair technicians that are qualified to do the job. It's sounds like the tact switch needs to be removed and replaced on the main PCB.
hey Stevie ray, I didn't meant to hurt you man, but skilz made questions and u gave me information, so I answered the questions from skilz.

I'm in Monterrey, so, Mexico city is about 800 miles away from here, so I can't go and come back from one day to another and just for a $#%&!= button.

There's a store in here named Backstage, so i could go there and ask if they could repair my Ps1. Smiler
