I have recently purchased mydmxbuddy and downloaded and installed mydmx2.1 from the adj website. I also have 2 adj Cob Cannon Washes.
Being already familiar with the mydmx software I set up a few simple patches to test all was working. Unfortunately it isn't. The lights do not respond.
I have checked over and over the Cob Cannons are set up correctly as in the manual and the software on screen shows scenes as intended.
Help please!!

Hi, does the Buddy show up in the software on the bottom left? I assume you are using MyDMX 2.1?
No I cannot see Buddy but I have just noticed on the bottom left it says Demo Mode. Does that mean it won't actually do anything?
This just means it is not detecting the Buddy plugged into the computer.
You can try a different USB cable, or make sure the buddy is plugged in before launching the program, and you can try opening Hardware Manager and see if it detects the Buddy.
Have tried first two suggestions without success.
I'm in Device Manager. What do I expect to see to tell me if Buddy is connected?
If it says "No device detected" then it is not picking up the buddy.
Also as a note: the driver cannot be split between two programs, so if something else is running and trying to use the driver, the HWM will not be able to detect it.
Other than printers and bluetooth there are no other devices when buddy is connected

Picking up again on my problems I will try to address particular issues step by step. Using mydmx buddy and mydmx 2.1. My tablet, Windows 10, says "New firmware available. Please update your interface (Hardware Manager).
Device Manager tells me SUSHI 1A interface working properly and the best driver is already installed. Really odd?
If I proceed anyway with the programme I get Mode
emo and No License so still unuseable!!
You are using a Windows 10 tablet?
Can you tell me the specs of it including processor etc?

But did you actually update the firmware in hardware manager, that is what it was telling you to do, not the driver. Hardware manager is a program that comes in the MyDMx 2.1 folder so you can check hardware firmware etc.
Go too C:\MyDMX2.1\HardwareManager make sure myDMX 2.1 is not running or even open, and launch hardware manager, follow the prompts for firmware.

i have the same problem with myDMX buddy.
I'm using this interface with my PC computer at home, and everything is OK. When i connect this interface to my DELL laptop, MyDMX 2.1 recognized interface but tell me that i don't have a license.
Hardware Manager working fine, detecting interface, showing licenses, updating latest firmware. SUT driver and store.dmxsoft.com also detecing myDMX and working fine on PC and Laptop,
but MyDMX on my Laptop says that i don't have license.
I was using it on my laptop ocasionally for many years and it was OK but some months ago suddenly not.
Today i make fresh installation of windows 10 64bit and all updates. stil the same problem on laptop. On my PC i have the same windows 10 x64 and no problems. Few weeks ago i change mainboard, cpu (i7), ram etc in my PC and after that fresh install of windows and no problems with myDMX buddy (ealier i had AMD Athlon with windows 7 and also no problems.
Please help, i need to run MyDMX buddy on my laptop and make some lightshows at weekend.
I just ordered and synchronize my mydmx buddy on store.dmxsoft.com with FULL license of mydmx 2.1 for 30 days,
but my mydmx 2.1 soft still shows that i don't have a license
I'm not sure why ADJ hasn't been straight forward about this. Are they asking us to pay a recurring license for the software? Many of us are having the same problem.

We aren't hiding anything all information can be found on the product page, the only time you need to buy a license is when you want, 3D, Midi, or the Easy remote app over wifi. The pop up is just to let you know that you can upgrade the license.
