Jeffery,
As I am extremely new to lighting and MyDMX 2.0, I am sure this is my problem, but I can't seem to get MYDMX to recognize the laser...I get it patched but does not seem to be recognized by dmx. Hummm .. recheked addressing, ensured dip switch 10 is off for DMX control...no go. Thoughts?
luke007sky --- it is unacceptable to pollute a technical forum site with completely unrelated and useless posts that are overtly commercial in nature and in total disregard of the rights of others. No respect for rules, no honor and no values. Please man up and find another profession.

Thanks Chitowntommy - have to say I'm new to this forum and looking around I wasn't sure if it was actually used anymore for what it was intended or was just full of junk messages on where to buy Ugg boots and crusies!

Would you know who / how I can get a profile set up? Is this the right page? Seems to be scattering of requests across the forum - I emailed the Jeffrey guy but got message back saying he no longer works for the company.
Hi sewelljf. Well you posted something most of us suspected - Jeffrey dropped off the radar screen something in the Spring of this year and since then it has been a free for all regarding MyDMX. The on going issues and lack of support falls squarely in the laps of ADJ management. It is painfully apparent that they rolled out a product that failed in many ways to be actually ready for release and even now the lack of support and corrective actions speaks to the fact (whether accurately or not) that as a company, ADJ is floundering from mismanagement and/or systemic failures.
I suspect (from web searching and detective work) that the MyDMX software was developed by a company called Nicolaudie, headquartered in Montpellier France and private labeled and source coded for use with the MyDMX 2.0 dongle (and unsure who did the design work on that). Meaning...ADJ doesn't have much ownership or leverage it would seem. Makes us feel as if it is a step-child, neglected and abused, much like Oliver Twist - "please sir, more?"
On the profile issue, more recently one of the other forum members, technojohn, has been able to develop profiles - you will likely find posts in various places - but keep in mind he is doing this on his own time and cannot always assist expeditiously.
Meanwhile, ADJ should consider submitting an article to a technical journal or fire off a press release story entitled: "How to Kill a Product in Three Easy Lessons." Part 1 - release an ill-conceived and undeveloped product; Part 2 - provide sporadic and thoroughly inadequate technical support; and Part 3 - completely ignore the customer base and maniacally hope they disappear.
hello all. i do appoligise for my absence, not been keeping to well and was working very long hours. yes i do make the profiles and do accept requests via email and skype. please feel free to ask me for the profile you require and i will make it and upload it asap. its down to me just now whilst adj staff sit with there fingers up there ass. i did see there was a adj staff member on here not to long ago dishing out profiles and an update on the 3d prog (its very late 2013 now) and nothing has come from it yet, i am keeping a look out on adj's facebook page as well as a few others. but for profiles yeah am only on here that is helping out the members of the site. i am going to catch up on what has been missed out and get them made asap. all i will say is support is available for my dmx 1&2 its just a matter of finding it. but i am now here all the time and ready to go
Welcome back Technojohn! - I shan't get involved in the debate about the absence of ADJ support - though as I'm just about to purchase nearly £3k's of ADJ kit I'm seriously wondering if I should reconsider after reading some posts on here!

Anyway just wanted to say I did find the profile for X-Move LED25R on this site - I'm thinking I should have looked here in the first place!! Oops!

https://www.dropbox.com/sh/2zpbbncoh2oywge/N-oxXE7de-

However like another couple of places I found similar profiles I found a number of errors in them and have now discovered the SCANLIBRARY Editor tool which I am thinking is best thing since sliced bread - so have now made my own profile using the one from that website as a template. If I knew how to share it I would!

Only main issues with the one on that profile was one of the colors was wrong (had orange as first instead of red) and the pan / tilt angles were wrong, and a couple of DMX values were wrong.

Anyway good to know you back and if / when I expand my collection good to know people like you around to support us if ADJ don't want to.

Now... do I go ahead and buy 8 Xmove heads or look elsewhere.... hmmm....
