DMX Operator Pro

Anybody know how to use the DMX operator pro to do smooth color changes between scenes, smooth dims between scenes. On the PAR can side this is easy by selecting the "Fade Speed Time" but when using the "Moving Side" the settings happen in an instant so the colors happen immediately instead of gradual like the effect of the par can side. I am using a CHauvet 250 spot and a ADJ DOTZ.
