Got my Accu Spots 250 ll today. Hooked up my dmx operator. Set the lights to addr/enter then dmx #1. DMX operator scanner on 1 program light on and move the first slider up. It does not respond like the fixture 8channel numbers say.

If anyone uses the dmx operator and would not mind me calling for some help Sat/Sunday b4 the game of course email me a number. Jerry@a1dj.net

Thanks in advance

I don't have the Accuspots but I have the DMX Operator.

Checklist: Check your "polarity" switch. That could be it. Check your cables.

press the Scanner 1 button. Make sure the SHIFT/Page is in the right setting(see light is either near 1 or 9). Move up fader 1. Should work IF the fixture is set to DMX address 1. Make sure the Fade Time fader is UP all the way(so your changes take place in real time)

You may call me before the "big game". I won't be watching it anyways because I'm not a sports fan. hit my web site, phone me up. Please, after 11AM on weekends(Pacific) and before 10PM, and all will be good.

My DMX Operator is NOT accessible. It's in the truck behind stacks of other gear. Not motivated to get it out of the truck.

Moretips:
This is a darn near even fixture to my Q-Spot 150 except brighter and some different channel modes.

Make sure you ENTER your channels. It makes a difference. Ensure you are in DMX mode, NOT master/slave mode.

It's most likely a polarity issue, cabling issue or mode issue. Might be an operator issue on the DMX Operator. I really need to get my manuals centralized again. They are spread out over multiple machines.

Have fun. Just be forewarned I am slammed in getting 14 DVD's done this weekend and so that's my priority.
Chris, played with operator most of the afternoon,LOL and it was the polarity switch.

Didn't set any scenes yet just played with all the slides and dreamed of what I might be able to do. Tomorrow I'll try and set up a square and follow the instruction book.

Thanks a ton Chris, hope you dvd making went faster than you thought.
Best way to learn is to sit down with the gear and start using it. Glad to hear all is well.

DVD update: NONE done. Still tweaking audio for post-production mastering. Little slipping and sliding here and there. Got 2 done, third to go. Then that takes care of the concert ones!

Ugh, don't want to deal with the 11 client ones. I want to be using my new KRK speakers!
OK. There's another way to go. Costs more, but still an ADJ product.

Personally speaking, I find the "factory installed" stuff to be good for starting out, but later on, it's better to go your own way. But hey, you might want to dig and dive deep into Compuware, it's gonna have a lot of features you may not need for a long while, but don't let that stop you in the least. I'm sure you'll start needing those features after a while. Plus, I think you'll like the fact that with computer-based solutions, you can design your shows off-line and thus save you a lot of time at the event.
ah chris, its not an ADJ product. it is an elation product. Just want it to be clear adj and elation are two separate companies.
Jerry: i am the support person for compu live. hit me up at James k at elation lighting DOT COM if you need any help getting up and running. also p.s. those arent scenes those are just pre-regenerated movements to use with your moving lights like scanners and moving heads.
Sincerely,
