Hi !

Is it possible to run simultaneously 2 scenes, on differetn channels of course ?

For example :
I am running a scan move (on chan 1 to 12) and I want to manually activate a strobe (on chan 20-21) by using a keyboard shortcut.
Of course, without stopping the scans...

Is that possible somehow ?

Thanks !

Thanks Jingles.

But then, it means you can't activate a fixture with presets in the middle of a playing scene...
It would be nice...wouldn't it ?

Another question, nothing to do with the later (maybe shall I create a new thread ?)
Is it possible to run the dongle with another software than MyDMX, such as Freestyler for ex ?

Do you know if software updates are planned ? like including new features requested by users ?

Thanks again ! Smiler
Well what u wanna do is available on compu live. However there are always workarounds or different ways to get the desired effect. for example progrma the scene you were talking about in the thread above and copy it then add the strobe. boom there you go, all you have to do is switch between scenes. Yes it would be nice but it still is not available at this moment in time.
No my dmx dongle will only work with my DMX software. sorry.
And no we dont forsee any future updates or added features in the imeadiate future. maybe bug fixes if and when they arrise.
Sincerely,
In this day and age, it's becoming necessary to really clarify things.

Since you can't run two scenes at once, just say "no".

If you have a MIDI controller assigned to the channel(s) assigned to the strobe, then you can easily "trigger" these responses. BUT, if you keyboard trigger(as in the laptop/computer board), then this trigger is going to trigger a whole NEW scene.

You might want to simply copy some scenes and then modify them from the "base" to get your added FX. Such as, maybe you have that scanner thing play twice, then move onto "scanners with strobe" once and then 5 times onto the scanner scene again. For example.

Or program a LONG scene with many many more steps, and in the middle of it, add the strobes.
