I just bought the dongle this weekend and hooked it up today. I already in 20 min have encountered several problems can somneone help? I hate to shortcut just looking at other forum entries but I have delayed making a decision to buy the program now I am under the gun on time.

1. While the 3d is open , it disappears whenever I move a fader so I cannot watch the 3d window simultaneously. I can click back on the 3d and it shows up but then the faders are not funtional at same time.
2. My scanner beam is moving in the opposite direction in 3d than the actual light.I have tried using the x/y buttons in the construction mode and it does not correct the problem.

1) Make sure the Pin is highlighted on the 3D window. it will "Pin" it to the top of your screen. thus it will not go away when you click on a different window.

2) I have to ask but is the 3D or your lights set up on the same sides as one another? Maybe you have reversed pan and tilt active on your fixtures? check that.
Sincerely,
Sorry, I never have used the "pin" thing. When I was checking out the program before I bought it, I didn't do anything and it just always stayed visible. As far as the light direction, the light is in the center and not on either side. This was just a small set up test. I was checking each fixture I have to see how each responded to the program just for such a reason. I did check the pan/tilt invert but I did not notice any change. I am not sure if I was doing it correctly. I tried again this morning and I have to actually check the pan inversion box in the 3d to get the direction to match. I checked/unchecked the boxes in the set up screen and it did not seem to effect the movement. I don't know why it would not automatically go in the correct direction of the fixture itself. Do I have to go into every fixture and see which ones show up reverse and not??

After I thought about it last night,I think I could have asked the questions better. I never use forums and am learning the process as well as the program. I will try to improve. Thanks for the help and in andvance for your patience.
