After pulling my hair out, reading my so called "user manual" for both my DMX Operator Pro, and ACCU SPOT 250, Three Times!!!!, I decided to check out this fourm, in which I see that I am not the only person who is absolutely dumbfounded by these manuals. I bought two accus and the pro board, spent over $2,000 and about the only thing I can seem to do is run them in sound activated mode (without the board). Can someone please help.

hello I hope this help,
If your like me, and either know a little about dmx or nothing, You may not have time to program your lights, because your a one person show. My answer to you is take the operator pro back, I to brought the operator pro a step up from the operator II so I thought, but what I found out that you need the compact flash card that's formatted for the operator pro from amdj. Now for the solution to the problem. Show designer 1, not only did I get the units 4 accu spot 250, up in running in 4 hours from not knowing anything, but 24hrs lator I did a show with the four accu spots, and three pocket scans all on at the same time, for get what has been written, but in a dim to dark room the pocket and accu team rock the light show all night long. I simple used the factory programs for the lights, and concentrated on the dj aspect of the show. As you guest I'm a one person production mobile d.j., the show was such a hit, I was hired to come back the next night for an encore, had a guest hire me for a sunday evening gig, all because of the show the show designer performed, and me too of course. Hats off to this team American D.J. and Elations, Accu Spot 250, Pocket Scan, Velocity cd player. You all combine with my skills to play have put me on another level. Buy once, Cry once, reep all the benifits, from I told you so.
I hope this helps you.
if you have any questions, post I'm always here when I'm home.
Are you saying that the DMX Operator Pro is useless? For our church, the DMX Operator Pro looks to be an ideal solution for combining the house system and intelligent lights.

We are within a month of purchasing a DMX Operator Pro, 2 Accu Spot 250's and 4 Rainbow 250's, so any information would be helpful.

Thanks!
I hope this is in time, the dmx operator pro, was made for those who wish to run par and intels, if that is what your going to be doing then the dmx operator pro is ideal. If you are going to only run intels then the operator pro is not what your looking for. Don't forget to purchase the 32mb flash card from support as they come preformatted for the operator pro. This was you can save your shows that you create.
accu user,

Check out page 13 and 14 of the Accu Scan 250 user manual. It will tell you how to run the scanners in something other than sound active mode.

You can also call our Customer Service Department , 800-322-6337, with any question you might have. They can walk you through the Accu Scan 250.

Good Luck!
