why was the x-cel discontinued?

hey everyone,
I was just wondering why the x-cel intelligent light was discontinued. I bought one about 3 years ago and think its a fabulous intelligent moonflower effect. Its bright with a 250 watt lamp and it has been quite durable. Were there any reported problems with this light? I use this light linked with my mighty scans and it makes a great effect.

My question is:

Why was the Utopia discontinued after one year?!?!

I think the reason is the same for both. ADJ wants to keep things fresh - they'll try out new ideas, but keep those things that sell well. So that's why the Mighty Scan and the Vertigo are still around, and other effects that don't sell as much, are discontinued.

Its kinda like cleaning the house things that were made a year to 4 years ago different technology has came out or they could make it weight less, cost less overall make things new fresh. Doesn't mean if there had to be something wrong with the unit.

i was told yesterday that the mightys were discontinued. is this only that the store isnt gunna carry them anymore or are they really discontinued?

I heard that too, apparently the Concept 1 is replacing the Mighty Scan.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! Please say the mighty scans still exist and are not discontinued. I am looking into getting them pretty soon.

i just orderd them through guitar center they still have them in stok at a few places good luck finding them
