Where to get small bits of colored optical glass for gobos?

Unhappy with the placement of the colored glass on the gobo wheel of my GoboScope, I had the idea affixing pieces of colored glass over the gobos in a way that is aesthetically pleasing to my own tastes. I can't seem to figure out where to get the little square & rectangular colored pieces of glass used in fixtures such as this. I don't see such a thing available in the American DJ parts store. If anyone knows the particulars of the type of glass used and where to get it I would most appreciate any tips in the matter.
