Vms4 Power Output

hi,

Would it be possible to use a different psu to power the vms4 to maybe increase the sound output slightly and if so what power rating would you recommend, i have read earlier posts suggesting that American Audio was working on a solution for a better psu but this has not yet happend, any news or any help would be gratefull as i have a gig a week on saturday and i am slightly worried that when i tested the vms4 with my amp it was turned up to 9 on the amplifier and still the sound was not that great.

I use mine in 3000 capacity clubs without any sound issues?

@dj petester: I wouldn't run any DJ mixer directly to just amps. I run my VMS4 to a 12ch soundboard, then run the soundboard to my amps. That way you can pre-adjust the sound coming from the DJ mixer. Depending on your gain and channel volume combined with with the gain and volume on the DJ mixer, you can go hella loud. Even club quality.

Thanks for the advice its only a small gig in normanton yorkshire cant really afford anymore equipment plus me cars full as im driving up from coventry will be laugh though not performed to more than 10 people before so want it go smoothly, thanks again

Small world Petester. I live just next door to normanton (wakefield) in Castleford. Wheres it at?

Agreed though - i always run my vms4 into another mixer to control the overall output.

A rugby club somewhere in normanton not sure of the name only holds about 50 max never been before, my wife's family live there and im just helping out as a favour
