Would it be possible for someone to point me towards a guide for recording live mixing with VMS4 & Traktor 1.2.6 Pro?

I have found a couple of tutorials on Youtube and google but they seem to always utilize the Mac and Audiohijack.

My VMS4 is running the latest firmware, retail version of Traktor 1.2.6, Laptop is a core 2 duo with 4gb ram running Windows 7, and i run out of the VMS4 via the rca jacks into the clubs sound system

Thanks!

You can not record internally with Traktor while using VMS4 soundcard . I have tried many different options I have been in contact with AA support and Native support and this can not be done.

My other alterantive was using VMS4 as a midi controller only and having a separate sound card and route Traktor through it.

I may be wrong but this topic has come up many times including a thread started by myself. No one has an answer.

Sorry for the bad news
Okay got my setup back working the way it did before. All four decks play. I have sound coming from my stereo amplifier, and it is recording through TRAKTOR. I am using my Audigy soundcard as the primary card in windows. VMS4 is on external mode though. RCA outs to the PC LINE IN, and PC LINE OUT to my Amplifier. Everything is back to normal. FINALLY

Hi guys,

i would like to record my set via an rca cable coming out from the vms4 master/booth output and going to my pc and i want to record with soundforge. I have done this before with my analog dj deck. So i dont wanna record it via the laptop i play, i want it via my totally separated pc connected with an rca. Any idea?

One thing I would make sure of - if you're running a signal from the house system's mixer back to your laptop, and you're running into your laptop's mic-in, the signal may be too hot and the recording might be distorted. Your best best is to run it into a small separate recording interface hooked to your computer via USB to ensure a good recording.
