Upgrading SDJ1 to take SDHC cards

I have one of the earlier SDJ1s that is uncompatible with SDHC cards. is there a circuit card and/or firmware update that makes an SDJ1 compatible with SDHC cards?

To have the SDJ1 read HC cards you need to send it to American DJ. Call them at 800-322-6337 and ask for the Service Dept to obtain an RA# with shipping instructions. The upgrade is $29.99

Thanks. I was worried because SD cards that aren't SDHC are starting to get scarce. I use the SDJ1 mostly for sound effects in community theaters, and school productions in the PAC I manage. I feared that people that I am loaning it to might not have SD cards.

I just rebuilt a pair of Design Spot 250s. Do you suppose this is an upgrade that I could buy the parts and do it myself?
