I have just solved the problem with usb not working when installing my dmx using the August 2014 version.
I have been told by an ADJ rep that there is a problem with it.
Install the drivers using May 2014 and it works fine.

Within a few days, possibly Monday, we will have a newer release for all users. You could also re-install Aug release now that May works, there is a weird issue on Aug that it needs may installed first to kick start the connection. It's very odd and we think we've fixed it in this new release.
