Show Designer and midi

I'm trying to get my Cakewalk MusicCreator2 to drive my Show Designer. The Designer just doesn't seem to receive anything (although it has picked up a few mis-triggers!). Yes, midi receive channel on the Designer is set to the same channel as my cakewalk track. I'm trying to get note 0 (C0) to trigger scene 1 on page 1 (that's right, isn't it??). Anything about the note properties I should know? Anybody using midi on the Show Designer???? A little help please??!!!
