i would like to know which is the best or most popular truss system or stands i can get for my scanners. I got the accu scan 250 system and i've never done lighting setups and i really need some advice like how high or how low also how much apart from each other???
also one more thing no matter how much i tighten the hanging bracket the scanner doesn't stay in position. how can i solve this BIG problem.

if you can afford it, look at the global truss systems. The Dj trusses they have are really cool. But if your not a dj, they probably won't work for what you're looking for. You might try a different type of clamp for your lights. The accu scans are pretty big, so maybe try the trigger clamp
The above trussing system is actually the LTS-50T system. Here is the Dura Truss System. And here is a like to Global Truss .

I do not recommend the use of duct tape to support lighting fixtures, as it is very unsafe.

Lighting clamps for intelligent fixtures are usually capable of supporting the fixture on some sort of hanging position only. This is the ideal position, and safest way to support them, as well as saftey them (so in the event a clamp fails, the fixture will not swing down...also very dangerous).

About clamps: not all lighting clamps are the same. You need to check weight ratings as well as inspect them for overall strength, application, and capability. For instance, cheaper clamps for par cans are by no means suitable for heavier intelligent fixtures. A heavier-duty clamp is required to secure them appropriately.

Better clamps allow for more flexibility in hanging orientation/position. I do not like using anything over 45 degrees from the vertical in an underhang, and only a complete vertical (with yoke inversion) on a top mount (maybe even slighting back into the truss to be sure that the fixture will not swing forward in the event of a clamp failure).

I hope this helps some.

Best,
-Tech
