I see a plugins folder in the MyDMX folder, does this mean that in the future we could program/script plugins that can do more advanced things? Or is this just a internal system for the developers?

There are a couple things I would really like to see in MyDMX and I think that having a plugin system would allow more advanced users greater control.

I've looked most of the major DMX control software and I have to say, all are too complex except MyDMX for my purposes (lighting for a church). I personally would like something more than mydmx, but it is a church and people other than me need to be able to control the lights. Plugins would allow for this flexibility.

Being able to optionally click to advance a scene instead of it being timed would be one feature I would like.

Another would be having a scene automatically trigger another scene once it ends.

And another would be being able to apply multiple scenes at once (such as having a main scene, and then another scene that turns on something like a strobe, etc). Just holding down CTRL and clicking/key triggering that other scene would be great.
Requests

1) this can be done by assigning a key trigger for each scene.

2) the can already be done in the edit mode to advance to the next scene (also where you can set the scene to loop or not loop)

3) This feature (to have multiple modes) has been opted NOT to be included in the software. The design and development team created this program to be very simple and user friendly. This feature was decided to be an Advanced feature.

You can, however, select single channels and assign them to keys on the keyboard (flash buttons more or less) and you can assign strobes and like features to those keys. and they act independant of the scenes So in a way, you can have different scenes going, and still flash strobes or moles, etc

Directions on this?

A key trigger simply triggers the first step in a scene, I mean being able to advance to the next step in the scene.
you create your scenes, then go to USER tab... Up top is "User options" put all channels to Auto mode. This will, Bellow, set all of your faders to Auto... Now, you can go to, say strobes, and click on the channel changing the mode from auto to LTP then to HTP then back to Auto. If you set the channel to LTP, you can now assign a midi or key assignment to that channel. The assignment will take priority over the scenes. You have your scene running, press the key assigned, the channel will go to full (independant) of the scene... acting like a flash button

You are correct, the trigger will only key the first step in a scene. The program was never designed to do step by step triggering. Only scene triggering. Due to that being a more advanced feature, i dont see there will be a change in this set up.
