Operator/DMX lights

You do not need dimmer packs. And please do not ever use a dmx fixture linked with dmx cables into a dimmer pack you will damage your fixture.
I believe all those fixtures are 3 pin dmx so you will need 3 pin dmx cables. Also please use actual DMX cable and not mic cable. There IS a difference.
Yes you should be able to get by with that dmx controller.

Thanks so much for the advice...I will definitely pic up some ADJ DMX cables...they are cheaper than my mic cables anyway since I have all 12awg mic cables!

I'll probably be back once I get my rig up and running, although it may take me some time before I do that!

12 AWG mic cables? Why you running that thick of a cable? Hell, my mains use that type of cable gauge.

Anyhow, I respectfully disagree with Jingles from the standpoint of what you have and what you COULD be doing with them.

First, the DMX Operator WILL work. So all is good.

But, you're missing a TON of potential with those cool lights. I think myDMX would be a better option if you have a laptop.

Lastly, Jingles forgot to mention that you need to build or buy a DMX terminator. This is a must have item. Make 2 or 3 just to be safe.

However, I'm not disagreeing with dimmer packs. You DO NOT need dimmer packs for what you've got. If your fixture has DMX on it, DO NOT use it with a dimmer pack.

Forgot to mention the terminator and yes my dmx would also suit him too. But I had assumed he already had a DMX op. so i wouldn't try to sell a controller if they don't need one. but if you haven't bought yet and you haven't sworn off PC lighting control check out my dmx.
