I somehow managed to get MyDMX2.0 working on a Win7HP laptop, but can't get it to work on any other machine/platform.

Tried installing on other Win8, Win7, and WinXP machines with no luck. The one machine it does work on is one that I cannot use for lights on a regular basis.

Every time I install, it appears the install works well. Shows the working driver at the end of the install, but when I try to open MyDMX2.0, it is always saying "(0) Interfaces Detected".

Each time I've tried installing I've deleted and uninstalled old files. Tried different versions of MyDMX including the most recent. Tried installing both with the USB interface plugged in and not plugged in. Made sure I'm plugging into USB 2.0 ports.

Running out of ideas. Help?

Is the dongle plugged in when you open the software? Also, plug it in a let it sit for a minute and then try. Whenever I set up my rig at a show. I setup my computer stand. Turn on the Computer,Plug in the Dongle, get power hooked up, and then I launch MyDMX, this gives windows the time it needs to figure out what the fuck is going on. Sometimes it doesn't work on the first try, because as I am sure you know, MyDMX Sucks ass. So I close it and relaunch it until it does. Those are my suggestions good luck.
Thanks for the suggestion fortconspiracy.

I have made sure that the dongle is plugged in when I open the software. I have also tried multiple USB 2.0 ports on multiple PCs without any luck.

I prefer elation's software also, but the equipment is owned by a nonprofit that isn't looking to make a much more substantial investment in its lighting quite yet.

Any other suggestions anyone? JWPardee?
Try unplugging the DMX line from the interface before plugging in the USB cable. It seems that Windows wouldn't recognize the device if the DMX cable was connected and therefore MyDmx wouldn't see it either. You should get a pop up box saying the device is ready to use, plug the DMX line and then plug the USB line back in.
I had this problem when transporting the device between two different computers.
I'm having the same problem of the interface not being detected on neither my XP PC nor my HP Netbook. I have also tried dmx2usb without luck. This has to be one of the easiest programs ever for a computer. Why is this so tough? I liked G. Parke;s suggestion of not having the dmx line plugged in when the dongle awakens but no combination of steps seems to work. I'm frustrated.
