I just purchased both of these devices, the MyDMX 2.0 dongle and the Mega Bar RGBA. This new Mega Bar is not included in the software download, but American DJ has the .ssl2 file for it on their website. There are 2 files for this light one specifying that it is "Elations support conflicted copy". I've tried using both of these files and they both work the same for me.

My issue is that I can not get the 34 channel DMX mode to work right. Or work at all rather. If I use one of the channels that light up the whole fixture at one time with the same color it works fine. I'm trying to get this to work with the FX in MyDMX 2.0 so that the colors will travel down the light.

It's probably a profile issue. Some of the profiles put out by ADJ of late are not complete and require a little tweaking. Problem for you is , MyDMX 2 currently does not have a profile editor. I'll take a look at the profile and see if I spot anything out of wack. I'm assuming you did set the rgba bar to the 34 mode you're wanting to use?

Yes, I set the fixture profile to 34 mode.
This fixture can be split into 2,4, or 8 independent sections. Chanel 34 is the one that will allow you to control 8 sections on the light. Just fyi though, I've tried the other ones that split it into 2 or 4 sections with no avail either. It will only work as a single solid light lighting the same color on the whole bar. Also, it works in 2,4,or 8 different sections if I use the built in program mode on the light, which doesn't help me as I am setting up a light show for a DJ set as well as live bands and I need everything to work together and be under my powerful DMX control. Thanks for looking into this.
