Has anyone tried MyDmx on Windows 8 with a touch screen. Now that the windows 8 drivers are out, I was planning on trying it with a touch screen laptop to trigger scenes and to control moving heads with finger control on the sliders.

Tried it, works pretty good. Just wish I could adjust the screen size better

So far so good. Just try to avoid an outdoor gig with insects.... they will crawl on the screen and change your scenes for you.
Yea, our door events are rough.... i always end up using an outdoor propane heater and or those outdoor camping candles that repell incects tend to work for me.... Big time production events, the production team has even gone as far as bringing screened tents for FOH work like a charm :-D
I use MyDMX only on a touchscreen. Used for running lights at a club i resident and do the AV for, with a lot of different DJs. Preprogrammed scenes, means the DJs just tap the scene buttons on the screen and they can set the light to support the music they are playing. A simple no fuss solution :-)
Jeffrey, it could be good to have an option for a window like the setup/editor/user windows specifically for touchscreen. Preferably only showing the scene buttons, that can be grafically designed,user definable button size and colour. For ease of recognition when the clubs are rocking. Also a lock out function would be welcomed! Stopping accidentel changes tio setups and scenes from nosey finger ;-)
And the option for global buttons. Maybe 5, assigned to control smoke machines, blinders or blackout for all fixtures etc. overriding the programmed scene for that specifik fixture?

Touch screen sounds awesome. As far as programming goes a full screen for only scenes would be great, but to be able to adjust the sizes of the scenes and an easier way to reorganize them would be fantastic. The arrow up is good, but it gets tiring after a while to be honest.
I find the left and right keys very useful for changing the screen aspect so as to see more of the sliders when programming.
Yes been using it for a few weeks now mydmx buddy and now my dmx had no problems at all
