Low headphone volume.

The headphone drive is already very beefy. But if you are into modding, you can change R1143 and R1144 on the headphone circuit from 18k to a smaller resistance to increase the volume. These components are on the main circuit board close to the 3 wire cable going to the headphones.

Before doing this, you can get more headphone output without modding if you increase the Gain and EQ volumes. Then you should pull the master down to prevent distortion on the main output.

increasing the eq volume distorts the audio, if I could get the the job wheel to work the way I want I will happily mod the unit instead of taking it back.

Are they the 250 or 80 ohm version?

The VMS4 certainly has no problem driving my Sennheiser HD25 headphones which are 70 ohm.

I have always notice that they aren't as loud as other headphones but normally load enough to here what i am monitoring,
but when i used the it with the vms4 on a gig I could hear a thing. i love these headphones cause it doesn't leave you feeling fatigued after a 5hr set.

Have you seen the Red Sound Micro BPM counter and headphone amp?

It connects to the normal phones output and offers more power plus EQ and a BPM counter.

Dancehall- Remix you headphones have a higher impedance than the average DJ headphone (30-60 Ohms) I would not open the VMS4 this will void your warranty. Try using different headphones or a headphone amp.

well that was my plan until i realized that i like the sound and feel of them.

I have a big head so some head phones that sound great in my opinion don't fit the skull comfy!
