I'd like to kick off this thread with what I'm sure is a noob question for dummies...
What is a linear fan effect?
And how does the linear fan effect work in the scene builderr?

it is an effect that the effect builder makes so you dont have to manually program many many steps in the builder.
Another example of the "Fan" is say you had 4 moving heads or scanners and you wanted them all pointing out but "fanned out." The Fan effetc for pan and tilt will allow you to move all of them at the same time and evenly space them out to get that fan effect without having to go one by one manually on each fixtures pan and tilt faders. Make sense?

So you set your fan in 1 step? I'm assuming that is the case? or is the fan how you are getting from your current step to your next step?
Is fanning always taking place while in the builder? (Why when I go left to right all of my scanners actulaly swoop down and back up to the right in an arched like effect)
Maybe I'm fanning through all of my steps and don't even know it? & I should be flipping through all of those settings to see what they are doing?
