I am using a Haze generator which I like a lot better than any fog machine I've used. But after a few months of use, the output has decreased to almost nothing. Plenty of fluid in machine. Any body else have any experience or problems with this machine? Does it need cleaning, or have some other problem?

Try using distilled water and let it run. First make sure you completly emptied the haze fluid first. If partical build up is the problem this should do it. Actually you can also use American DJ's "clean machine" to clean it out. If these two options don't work you might have a unit problem. This is just an opinion.
I dug this thread out to see if it would answer a question I had with my fog machine. Well I still have my question so I'm gon' throw it out there. Will distilled water help clean or clear the clogged areas of my water based fog machine. I have the old shadow II fog machine and I use water based fluids. It has a slowed output and I need to know what I can do at home to clean it before I start using all kinds of fog machine cleaners. Will distilled water work? Or forget that idea and get a fog juice cleaner.... Cool
distilled water helps, also a 10% solution of white vinegar run through the machine. one caveat, if the machine is already to slow you just end up moving the gunk forward where it congeals behind the nozzle. It may help if you can remove the nozzle first. (not all fog machines allow for removal of nozzle) DO THIS OUTSIDE AS IT STINKS.
I see that no one has posted anything lately... but I had my fog machine (I won't say what brand) clog up on me after sitting for a few months. It seemed like it would never work again, until I ran some Distilled White Vinegar through it... now it works like a charm!

Clogged Fogger + Vinegar = New Fog Machine!
