Faulty software download

I recently had trouble getting my dmx 2 to work with windows 7.
After many hours I was able to speak to a tech guy who told me that the August download had a problem and to use the May 2014 dowload.
This worked fist time.
Why then if it is a known problem do ADJ not remove the faulty version until fixed.It just makes life that more difficult.
