Dotz flood ,, please help !!!

Bought the dotz flood and RGB 3C controller last year but have now got my self the DF foor controller as i am the guitarist in the band and thought it would be a lot easier to control.
Problem is, Im having real problems getting the FC to control the Dotz flood .
I charged the unit up over night , Turned the dotz flood on and did what the instructions told me but nothing !! , i can see that every time i press a button on the foot controller the green light on the dotz flood goes on but nothing happens. Do i need to assign something on the menu ?
