I apologize. I realized you mentioned EX I somhow read it as HP. It is possible the lamp is not seated correctly causing it to look dim. I reccomend opening the lamp housing to see if the lamps need to be reseated.
and the results are, a faulty bulb. I went out and bought a replacement bulb, but the store didn't carry philips brand bulb...its still an ELC 24V 250W lamp. But its still not the same as the working philips bulb.
Even though the phillips lamp is better it should not make a huge difference. If you think it is still dim, try swapping it with a working phillips lamp from one of your other DJ SCAN250 EX.this way you'll know it is the lamp for sure.
Thanks, I did take the bulb from my working DJ SCan and put it into the other one...and it worked perfectly...thats when I came to the faulty bulb conclusion.
Replace the bulbs. The ones that ship are low hour and not very bright. I recently had to replace an (original) bulb that finally died, and the replacement (OSRAM) is remarkeably brighter.
I've got six of these fixtures. Other than the non-micro motors, they are good fixtures.
