hi everyone! i have two separate fixtures (same make and model) that are set to different defaults in the "DMX Values" section of my WMX1. the "Default" encoder can be changed to a different value, but this change is not reflected in the box for that channel on the screen. the "Default" encoder says it's set to 0 (which is what i want), but the value in the box on screen says 127. it will change when i use the "Test Value" encoder, but when i exit from the "Test Value", it reverts back to 127 - NOT the 0 the "Default" encoder shows.

what am i missing? please help ASAP - i have a festival show coming up & i need this solved! thanks!

Hi, the DMX values area is not the place to change default values, if you need to change a DMX default, we could check the profile and see if its a change we need to make on our end, what fixture is this?

hi, Jingles8302, & thanks for the fast reply! i've enjoyed your video tutorials.

there are a few different fixtures this is happening with:

Shehds 100w 6-prism moving head light (with LED ring)

U'King 7 x 15w moving head wash light RGBW

Lixada Mini Beam moving head light RGBW

after doing some more research, would this be an issue with the beam editor?

Hi, out of the names you listed above, i could only find the exact one for the Lixada, and it is simple fixture and i didnt see anything wrong with the profile.
So im not really sure what you are seeing or experiencing.

so then, what is the purpose of the Default encoder in the DMX Values screen?
