Hi,

I purchased the above controller as I wanted to select scenes and enable auto or audio from another midi device. I have set both devices on the same midi channel and tried to external devices which both send midi notes but the controller does not respond. I have selected note C0 for note 12 to select scene 1and note D#3 for note 51 to try and select enable audio.

On the devices I am using they do have an option for velocity and for latching or momentary but I have tried all option I can think of. Anybody have any advice?

Thanks

I am having similar issues with a scene setter 24 which has no response to midi input at all.  I also have tried multiple devices and checked the outputs from the midi devices into others. I was considering the 384 as an alternative as I have been assured it will work from midi inputs.  Did you manage to solve this problem?

Yes, even though the manual stated midi note. It was in fact programme change which was needed to trigger the unit. All good at the moment but not used it much. It some times lock's out when switching between midi channels but ok after a switch off and back in which is not ideal but does work. Another thing to be aware of is if you send the same pc twice it acts as a switch on switch off so I had to set my scenes so I sent no repeat in pc immediately after each other

I'm not a midi expert but there are a few different midi signals/commands that can be sent. A midi note is a value that represents a note usuallygiven in a chart. A program change is a numerical value and that value will mean some to the device you're sending it to I.e.  program change (pc) of 51 would trigger enable/disable auto mode amd the dmx controller. There's is a table in the manual but where it state midi note you need to send midi pc instead
