Cant connect to servers

Hi, just purchased VMS5.0 Downloaded VDJ and entered the key that came with controller. When I start VDJ it wants to connect to VDJ website but keeps saying "cannot connect to servers. Please make sure you have internet connection". Well I definitely am connected. Ive added VDJ in my firewall to allow it through. Any ideas please?
