can I make my Pocket Scans BRIGHTER?

anyone ever try to use a 200 or 250 watt lamp in a pocket scan? What happens??? (I know ADJ peeps will say DON'T do this... and I don't advise it either, but am curious as to what would happen if I accidentally put the wrong lamp inside....)

The pocket scan does not have the proper cooling to handle a 200Watt or 250Watt bulb. It (should) work, but it will get much hotter, much faster, and the bulb will have a very short life span (as well as maybe the fixture itself). Next to water, heat is an electronics device worst enemy.

ive heard of people that replaced the fans in the pocket scans. maybe a high velocity fan would keep it cool? would be nice to see that little light with a 250watt bulb

It will probably burst into flames. Even if the fan is replaced, the glass in the Optical train will burn up because it is too close to the lamp and whatever gobos are on your little etched wheel will probbably burn up.
