Cakewalk and Dimmer Paks

Does cake walk have midi out? if so you could use the midi function with our packs. They are limited in what they can respond as there is not fade between steps and you will get instant on and off.

Cakewalk has midi out, but couldn't i control dimming through commands I put in Cakewalk's event list. Maybe a Cakewalk question more than lighting. What kind of dimmer packs are you referring to?

The Pro Bar-4 and Cyber Pack both receive midi commands. Both can be assigned between midi channels 1-16 and note numbers 1-128. However, the Pro Bar has a "Fade Time" setting that allows you to set a fade time and the Cyber Pack does not. The fade time setting can be set from instant or no fade time to 60 seconds max. This means when a command is sent, it could take up to 60 seconds for the change to happen if desired. You may want to visit the Pro Bar webpage, on the Elation Professional website, as the unit is not set up like a traditional dimmer pack. It was designed to mount on a stand for quick and easy set up. The fact that Par Cans can be mounted directly to the bar is really convenient.
