I want to get 2 autospot 150s but i want the whole rig to be portable like on a laptop computer and i can program the lightsis there some kind of adapter to go from computer to dmx cable ??? I want to nkow 1 can it run on a laptop 2 can i get a adapter 3 is it worth the money and 4 how portable is it. ok ill check up on the answers if ya have them, ok thanks

Yes you can control DMX512 fixtures with a computer. They is software out there that allows you to do so. Its very nice and gives you a lot more control that say a simple DMX control board with sliders/dimmers.
There is no �adapter� for say. You do need a special box that connects to your computer and from that box you connect your lights via a XLR (DMX) cable. The box is sort of like an adapter but not really. There is not universal box to work with any software. Usually there are specific boxes for certain software.
For you, $1000+ copy of LightJockey might not be worth it if all you are going to be off it is 2 AutoSpots.
I use an Apple based controller so I am not too sure of all the PC Windows based controllers. my Apple based system cost me about $300 (e295). Its not as intricate as LightJockey but it is still very very very very nice.
