Good day to all,
I'm a new forum member since today, but I've been using American Audio for years and years. From my first CD player (Pro-DJ1 13 years ago) to my current set-up, previous owner of stuff like DCD-PRO, PSX, etc. If i had to have a sponsor, I think I would be the ideal candidate for American Audio!!!
I'm a very proud and happy owner of an SDJ-2, which is a wonderful machine that suits any need you have. However, because I work in clubs and sometimes mobile, based on past experience, I needed a backup, so I bought a Q-SD mixer to have a third reader in case something bad happens.
At first I was pleased, but got quickly back on earth realising this machine reads only SD cards and not SDHC. A few years back I wouldn't have cared since SD was the stuff!!! Being in 2010, SDHC litterally killed the SD market. Even 1GB cards now are SDHC, you have to try to find used ones to have standard SD. Would someone know if there is an upgrade or update available for the mixer to read SDHC? Any firmware? If not, if I was to take the firmware from my SDJ-2 and install it on my Q-SD, would it solve the problem or will it create an unfixable problem?
Thanks a million for your help!
