My Stinger 2's are on order and on their way. I am looking at the Live Edit buttons and I don't see anything for the LASER. There are however, 3 "Other" designations. Can those be used for the laser effects? Has anyone used the WMX1 with the STINGER 2?  Oh and it asks if you want to split the STINGER 2 when adding it. I did that and it doesn't seem to make a difference, maybe this will all make sense to me when I actually hook it up to the WMX. Let me know, Thanks

Hi, when you say yes to splitting it, you also have to assign each split to a group letter, and that will split it, but splitting it may not do you any good if it has channels that are just for macros etc, like lasers. For example i split one Stinger II, it has 3 "beams" in it, and the 3rd part isn't linked to any effects, so maybe use the split, but assign all 3 parts across two groups only.
and yes i do see that there are a few channels labelled as "other" so you will need to have the channel order memorized a bit or keep it written down somewhere which other channels do what, we can possibly edit the profile to reflect the names better but that will take a few days and you'd have to re-patch them etc.

I appreciate the feedback.

This is all "so over my head" when it comes to understanding exactly what you are talking about. I could really use a step by step video. I may end up just using my operator 384 along with my WMX1 with two different DMX Transmitters on two different frequencies. That way I can take advantage of the full potential of the STINGER 2's. That's what I did last time with the Furious Fives. I used two controllers simultaneously with my "Furious 5 clones" and the rest of my lighting. It worked great. However, it sure would be nice if I didn't have to use both of them and the WMX1 would operate everything with their full effects. I may get the lights today and then see where I go from there. Thanks
