what's the best(cheapest) controller to use with this and can this light be controlled one at a time, or if I have two can they be controlled together?
also how bright are these lights at about 100 ft,50 ft? and are these lights recommend for theater use? are they loud when changing colors or moving position?
they can be controlled with any dmx controller. You can program them individually or you can set both of them up to respond together depending how you address the fixtures using dmx.
Check out elations dmx operator, it's a cheap controller that will give you control over them.... it's important to keep in mind that your controller is worth spending some money on as the controller is what enables you to come up with extensive scene's and chases..... the better the controller the better your lights will look and you'll be able to take full advantage of the capabilities of your lighting fixtures
is the accu wash 250 bright enough to be a spot and adjustable to be a fill light? I have about five grand to get a intelligent lighting system, what is the best for theatrics?
I hope this gets to you in time, I went with dmx operator, although it was great but it was limited in the amount of programs it could store, so thinking of future productions possibilities, I invested in the show designer I, I have yet to even program my own scenes, it comes with programs already loaded. At the time it was a painful purchase price wise, but well worth it.
