I have been using the VMS5 for the past couple of years without issue.  Recently, I have reason to try to set up one of my channels to pull volume from my internal Windows sound card.  I have successfully set up my "C" or channel 1 slider to play the Realtek High Definition Audio device and the remaining three channels are using the Asio driver for mixing music.  So here is the issue:

Channel 1 will play audio from a browser or Windows sounds, but I am not able to play audio from a stand alone application (ie. Spotify, Amazon Music, Windows Media Player, or any of my projection mapping/VJ software).  I can go into the software on several and choose the output.  If I choose the internal sound card it plays on the laptop speakers.  If I choose Asio card as the output, the software all immediately freezes.

I am absolutely stumped and have tried every combination of configurations I can think of to resolve the issue.  Has anyone else using the VMS5 been able to set it up to utilize both sound cards at the same time?  I appreciate any advice.

Hello if you are trying to use audio from your computer browse as well as apps your best bet would be to use one of your channels as analog. From the Virtual DJ software you don't have to change any settings but from the VMS5 you will need to switch it from USB to Analog. Now you will need to have a line input going from any of the Midilogs to go into the headphone jack of your laptop. That way your sound cards can stay as ADJ ASIO and you can still use an audio source from your computer.
