Hi,
I'm using VMS4.1 with Linux / Mixxx. Everything (almost) working very well, but the Headphone output is way to loud for me. Only the first 1/6 of the Cue Gain can be used, which makes it impossible to "fine" tune the headphone volume.... My brain hurts sometimes, when I touch that knob accidentaly...
Any idea what is wrong in my setup ? I thought that it's the levels comming from the computer, but no, I changed them to very low gain, then headphone cue volume works well, but the output it almost silent (as I set the level so low...)
My best guess that my cheap headphone is not having the right impedance... What is the right impedance for the cue output ?
Thanks in advance !
Do you have the same trouble ? Post it here pls !

Smiler I have to admit that I'm a bedroom / kitchen DJ, so I don't really know if the volume is good or not for a real club event. I have a standard and very cheap Sony headphone... Still, if I get the CUE in the middle its already causing physical pain Smiler I tried on Windows with the bundle software (virtual dj LE) the volume with the same gain settings a little bit better but still sooo loud. Anyway I'm okay with it if I can attach a serial impedance, without causing any fault in the mixer... Smiler Have you ever tried something like this ?
Sorry I just now realized that you asked my distro I used the VMS with Mixxx on Debian and Fedora too. Both working very well, I can play on 2 channel and record in audacity. Now in the new Mixxx relese there will be 4 deck support Smiler I'm really waiting for it. If you never tried Mixxx, give it a chance Smiler It's totally freee ! (And VMS compatible)

Well, On VMS4.1 everything is in the "middle", then CUE is extremely loud. I can't go higher than 1/4 of the knob (cue gain), I think it would harm my headphones.
