Switching Between DMX Channel Modes VIA DMX software

Nope not possible. It is a setting that can only be accessed in the fixture menu in front of the fixture itself. And firmware updates to allow this? Well......good luck lol.

i did not think it was possible
shame as once light is way up on truss/stand
there is no way to change settings
of course not everyone needs to go from 4 channel to 256 channel, but i do :-)

i thought you could do EVERYTHING via DMX

You can do alot via dmx. However it is up too the manufacturer on what all to include or not include in the dmx programming of a fixture. And most cases the programming is for the basic controls and also most demanded functions that the fixture could support. Also keep in mind that of a fixture is run in dmx mode 90% of the time it will be run of a controller with not even full or half a dmx universe. A dmx universe is 512 channels and if most controller only have a set number of channels it can control then that is what the company would base it's channel count need on a fixture. Get what I'm saying?

then at least make my Fusion Tri FX's sound-active DMX'able :-)

it should at least do that like most other ADJ lights :-)
