search wheels modification?

The wheels on the SDJ1 are less than useful in the application that I use it for (prerecorded sound effects in theatre). Is there a simple modification that I could make to disable the wheels. One of the groups I work with just bought an SDJ2 and would like to disable the wheels on theirs as well.

There is no option to disable them but if you explained why it will probably make more sense. Are you accidentally touching them? whats the problem?

In normal theatre operation you just need to access audio files and play them on cue. You generally don't shuttle, scrath, pitch bend, or any of that cool DJ stuff.

The wheels do tend to get bumpped and the result is a horrible noise that usually doesn't help the show.
