Question About the DMX Operator 192??

Hey,

Quick Question about the DMX Operator 192.

Can you program Speed and Fade times into each scene when programing a chase?

I currently have a DMX Programmer, and I'm able to program either speed or fade into a scene.

So for example, I'm playing back a show, Can I have 2 LED pars fade from black over 15 seconds, then hold for 45 seconds, then start strobing for 10 seconds? ect?

No, on the 192 it is universal. There is no way to program individual fade and hold times. what the faders are set too is what it will playback no matter what scene your on. Unless you adjust them live.

So what your saying is, If I have 10 scenes in one chase, I cannot make them 5 seconds, 10 seconds, 15 seconds per each scene respectively?

I can only set them to the same interval? So each of the 10 scenes would have to be X amount of seconds?

Correct. But like I said you can adjust the times by moving the speed and fade faders. It's a bit troublesome but you have to remember this is a beginner board.

I'm assuming the standard DMX Operator cannot do this either as well.

The only real difference between the two are the amount of chases and maybe updated firmware/componets.
The boards we sell that do allow for individual fade and hold times are the Show designer Series and the Magic 260. Also, i believe all of our software's let you do individual fade/hold times.

I know the Chauvet controllers can set speed and fade times for each step, but I just don't like the way the look and feel a bit cheap...
