PS2 Grounded ?

I just recently picked up a pair of PS2's and they're really worth it. My one concern is that when I had them setup ontop of my flight cases - I noticed that when using the touch sensitive scratching (either in solid green mode or flashing green mode) it would not work unless I put my hand or touched my body against the cases, or even put my hand on the side of the PS2. Now I know the touch sensitivity works with the capacitance concept just like touch lamps - but I'm wondering what I can do to make my problem go away. Any suggestions would be great !

Make sure they are plugged into a grounded outlet....ie the three prong plug, must be plugged into an outlet that has the prongs (without an adapter), and the outlet must be properly wired (ie no ground lift).
