Hi!

Does anyone have any information about American Audio (AA) PS-8, PS-10, PS-12, PS-15 and PS-1802 speakers:

Have them in the european product guide 2005, but Im really wondering about the compatibility with AA V PLUS series amps.

For example PS-1802 is marked to have 900W RMS power at 4 Ohms, but the closest amp for it would be V3000 that gives 690W RMS at 4 Ohms per channel, which would mean we have 200W wasted. With V4000 we have problem with 100 extra watts, that might damage the speakers in high volume levels

And another thing - are the technical specs in the product guide correct? For example PS-1802 has 105 dB sensitivity and 139 dB max SPL - which is quite awesome.

Im doing retail sales for AA/ADJ products here in Estonia and I would really love to have some help with combining pre-made AA PA sets.

Hi Harald the V4000 would be the better choice. It is always better to, and less likely to damage a speaker when over powering than underpowering.

Overpowered=good (but not too much)
Underpowered=bad

When you underpower a speaker, you sometimes tend to push the amp to hard, when that happens it clips. Clipping from underpowering is the single most common form of speaker damage.
