Hi, what release date are you installing on your Mac and what OS version is your Mac on?
June 18 i think
Version 11.1 Big sur .
Try this release and see if hardware manager will let you update the firmware.

thanks! back on track!
Was waiting for Eric at ADJ to get back to me on this issue. Did a search and found this thread. TY, TY, TY!
Has Eric responded to this yet? I'm quite curious.

Hi, what exactly are you trying to do on hardware manager? Update the firmware or something else?
XHL 17 is just a timed out error message, just means something prevented full connection from completing whatever task it was set to do.
I'm trying to see Wifi settings cause I can't connect my iPad with the wifi network of MyDmx go that is very unstable. The firmware is ok...
What computer are you using and what version date of hardware manager?
Macbook pro M1 and the hardware manager version of the adj website.
Try this one: https://storage.googleapis.com.../HardwareManager.dmg
and see if it helps connect. also just for sanity's sake, the ipad that tries or has connected to ti in the past, turn the WIFI off on it while plugging it into usb and trying to connect to hardware manager.
It doesn't help...
Cannot get current Wifi mode from device
Error Code: XHL 17
Are you using a USB hub or anything? Powered or not powered? If your mac only has usb c, try a usb-c to usb-c cable.
Last ditch effort i can give you in forced bootloader mode, but if the USB port is not detecting it tight, it might not work.
to force bootloader mode, turn on hardware manager with the device unplugged to the computer, but a cable plugged into the GO hardware, then Press and hold the "D" button on the device as you plug it into the computer, and hold it for a few seconds but not super long, it should detect right away and be in "BL" mode. See screenshots attached. If it works try upgrading the firmware or re-writing it and then see if your wifi settings can be adjusted.

Hi all,
I have a similar issue with my DMX Go, I just cannot enter the WiFi settings on Hardware Manager and the iPad just doesn’t connect to the device.
Is there already a solution for the error XHL17?
Also running with a MacBook Pro M1.
Hopefully a solution here, next gig is in two days!!!
